Position Duties

Ford Motor Company's Research & Advanced Engineering’s Freshman Internship opportunity is for college Freshmen pursuing a Bachelor Degree in engineering & technical. The program is a 8-12 weeks and is during the summer.

The intern program within Research & Advanced Engineering evaluates students by offering them summer employment with meaningful and challenging assignments. If you have a successful internship you could receive an offer to return for a future internship after your Sophomore and/or Junior year.

Minimum Requirements

• Candidates must be Freshman or Sophomore-level class standing

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Science

• Candidates must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale

• Analytical and creative problem solving situations

• Drive to research, learn, and implement new technologies

• Work well in a small team and be flexible to work on any aspect of the project as needed

• Strong verbal and written communication skillsPreferred Requirements for Freshman & Sophomore Candidates:

• Ford HSSTP graduate and/or Scholarship Recipient preferred (Blue Oval and Vehicle Team)
