As a firm designated "essential" for state, county and municipal work, we have remained fully operational during the COVID-19 pandemic, and are continuing with operations in conformance with government health safety policies. We equip staff with the tools they need to work remotely, independently safely, while retaining a strong environment of teamwork and sharing of skill sets. For our LIDAR Survey Technician role, we are looking for a motivated, experienced technician that can take the lead on our projects with LIDAR survey components. The following background is desired:Experience performing LIDAR surveys (mobile, stationary, and/or aerial)Proficiency registering, adjusting, and refining point cloudsProficiency with methods and softwares employed for data registration and extraction (such as Trimble RealWorks, Leica Jetstream, TopoDOT, etc.)Proficiency with one or more of the following: MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD/Civil 3dUnderstanding of survey data and methods, levels of accuracy, sources of errorFamiliarity with various units, datums, and conversionsAbility to meet client requirements for LIDAR data format contentQuality control review of survey deliverables2 year Degree with Certification in LIDARFamiliarity with survey data processing programs (GeoOffice, Infinity, etcTo succeed in the Tetra Tech Survey group, it is important to possess the following:Good communication skills, both in-person and through remote options (email, phone, text, virtual meeting, etc.)Ability to progress through tasks efficiently and independentlyAbility to absorb training quickly, and pass along skills to other team membersProblem-solving skills, both independently and as teamWillingness to occasionally take on tasks outside primary job description rolesPunctuality and willingness to prioritize project/client needsThe Tetra Tech Survey Group is an ideal place to grow your skills and intellectual capitol, working closely with licensed professionals and experienced technicians.About Tetra Tech:Tetra Tech is a leading provider of high-end consulting and engineering services for projects worldwide.
