Responsibilities

GS09: This position is located in a Cyberspace Operations unit. This is an Air National Guard (ANG) Dual Status Technician position requiring military membership, compatible military skill assignment, and classification. This unit helps protect the nation's war-fighters' information, cyber mission systems, computer networks, critical infrastructure and key resources. The incumbent provides systems administration support on workstations and servers using multiple operating systems; responsible for installing and testing the system security configuration and monitoring, operating, troubleshooting and maintaining workstation and server hardware and software. The incumbent is the primary customer support specialist for the classified systems used throughout the unit. 1. Serves as a technical expert and focal point for the facility and configuration of hardware and software on a variety of IT systems with different hardware and operating systems. 2. Serves as a systems administrator responsible for planning, coordinating, modifying, implementing, and troubleshooting in order to meet customer needs 3. Performs security management in accordance with AF, AFSPC, National Guard Bureau (NGB) and Air National Guard (ANG) regulations and policies. 4. Performs other duties as assigned.

GS11: This position is located in a Cyberspace Operations unit. This is an Air National Guard (ANG) Dual Status Technician position requiring military membership, compatible military skill assignment, and classification. The purpose of this position is to serve as a Cyber Operations (CO) Technician, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems, networks and data through the enhancement of Department of Defense (DoD) information systems security programs, policies, procedures and tools. 1. Performs cyberspace operations that protect and defend 2. Prepares Unit Training Assembly, Annual Training and currency training events for Mission Ready Cyberspace Operators and is prepared for events in order to optimize training time available. 3. Consults with supervisors, Drill Status Guardsmen, specialists, vendors, and sister Cyberspace Operations Units to procure 4. Performs other duties as assigned.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Your Resume must list some experience in each of these areas:**Experience, education or training that has provided a basic

Experience may have been gained in work such as computer operator or assistant, computer sales representative, program analyst, or other positions that required the use or adaptation of computer programs and systems.

**SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your Resume must show at least [ GS09: 24 GS11: 36 ] months in each of the following areas:

GS-09 -**Must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training in analysis of the interrelationship of pertinent components of the system. Experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment. Experience scheduling the sequence of programs to be processed by computers where alternatives had to be weighed with a view to production efficiency.

GS-11 and above - Must have at least 36 months experience, education, or training that approaches techniques and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization. Experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls. Experience that required adaptations of guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment. Experience preparing documentation on cost/benefit studies where is involved summarizing the material and organizing it in a logical fashion.

Education

**You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience -** For the GS-5 level, a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the experience requirements. At the GS-7 level, one full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement. At the GS-9 level, a masters or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree may be substituted. At the GS-11 level, a Ph.D. or equivalent, or 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.

Undergraduate or Graduate Education:Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
