Job Description


VED Electronic Brake Software projects span the globe and require Software Integration Managers to keep the big picture in focus. As a Software (SW) Integration Manager, you plan software integration steps and integrate the software components to the integrated software according to an integration strategy. This integration strategy is developed and maintained by the SW Integration Manager in coordination with the project team. The SW Integration Manager monitors and reacts to failure tracking tools in and effort to assure quality and timely software deliveries. Similarly, the SW Integration Manager also monitors and reacts to Misra, component test, SIL and HIL test results as a basis for root cause analysis efforts. Ultimately, the SW Integration Manager is responsible for the compilation and distribution of SW versions to stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing complex SW architectures and recognition of integration issues.

  • Developing Software Integration Plan.

  • Define purpose and scope of Software Integration Plan.

  • Identify the software components to be integrated. These includes all files which are necessary for the integration, e.g. c­files, h­files, configuration files define the order of integration.

  • Maintain traceability of software component integration

systematic and abstract analyzing and formulation of corresponding solutions.

  • Identification and handling of dependencies.

  • Recognition of weaknesses and risks.

  • Moderation and communication with different stakeholders.

  • Understand Customer software delivery requirements and priorities.

  • Integration and delivery of ECU software to vehicle and bench development per defined schedule.

  • Provide support to Vehicle application teams for identification of root cause for issues and corrective action plans.

  • Ensure all aspects of production processes for software and calibration programming are validated.

Job Requirements

Required Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive Engineering or related discipline.

  • Software/software components in view of design and functionality.

  • Agile software methodologies (ex. Scrum, Kanban and/or Sprint).

  • Integration and implementation methods and tools

Proficient in English ­ reading, writing, speaking and understanding.

  • Self-motivated and driven.

  • Strong interpersonal skills ­ability to build relationships.

  • Ability to read and debug embedded software created in C code.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive Engineering or related discipline.

  • 5 years or more working in automotive field as an OEM employee or supplier
