Design Release Engineer position includes: emHealthcare (Medical, Dental, Vision) - Competitive Hourly Rate - PTO/Vacation Time - Paid Holidays - Direct Deposit - 401K plan - Overtime Eligible/em Design Release Engineer Description: The Interior Plastics Release Engineer will be responsible for Interior vehicle packaging and releasing, defining customer requirements in terms of engineering metrics, defining design direction, maintaining all critical program milestones, balancing priorities of multiple customers and executing designs through vehicle launch. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to establishing physical and functional integration of Functional Plastics Components for interior designs through all phases of the program. This includes the planning phase, translating functional objectives into technical requirements and solutions, creating and analyzing alternative design concepts, packaging, and integrating system, components, and benchmarking of competitive vehicles. Design Release EngineerRequirements: liBachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET accredited university is required./li li0 - 2 years (or more) of experience in product engineering development in Interiors or Interior overhead systems. Will consider experience from other commodities as well./li liHighly motivated individual with excellent communication and organizational skills. Must also have good presentation skills./li liExcellent relationship building skills with the ability to work in a cross functional team environment./li liGood problem solving investigative skills. Energy and desire to win./li liExcellent MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)/li /ul Preferred Requirements: liKnowledge of DFMEA, DVPR, FEA and Mold Flow Virtual Validation preferred./li liHard Trim, Soft Trim or Plastics experience preferred./li liKnowledge of CAD Systems (CATIA, UGNX) is preferred./li liWill be required to travel occasionally, 0 - 20% domestic and international/li liWill be required to drive a company car.
