FCA US, LLC Advanced Driver Assistance Systems Specialist in Auburn Hills, Michigan
The Manufacturing Engineering Advanced Driver Assistance Systems Specialist will be responsible for process and product standardization related to Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Assembly Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) product and processes. The Specialist drives the development and deployment of standardized best practice methods and tools to eliminate product feature variation as well as attacks the root causes of safety, quality and throughput issues in the areas of driver assistance system module, radar detection, 360-degree cameras systems and associated audit equipment capabilities.Additional responsibilities:bull;Ensure all manufacturing locations are tracking key performance indicator data, sustaining current best practices to mitigate variation and continuously improving performance over time.bull;Guide and assist plant personnel and launch teams in the use of 4M methods to reduce and eliminate the variation of both product and equipment.bull;Lead regular technical team meetings with assembly plant lead; engineering, and quality team members.bull;Manage the project list by plant, track, coach and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and assignments.bull;Compile detailed best practices from all plants for and develop read-across plans and sustainment activities.bull;Develop and publish standard practices and tooling and equipment standards for Manufacturing Engineering, contribute to product engineering process standards development, manufacturing quality and regulatory standards.bull;Represent the needs of the plantsrsquo; maintenance and tooling teams with the process, tool, and product engineering to drive innovative, cost-effective solutions to production or quality problems.bull;Benchmark competition, other regions, and other industries to seek out new and improved solutions.Basic Qualifications:bull;Bachelorrsquo;s degree in a Technical or Engineering discipline OR non-technical Bachelorrsquo;s degree combined with relevant Manufacturing Engineering/Quality experiencebull;5+ years of manufacturing experiencebull;Strong statistical background (education or experience)bull;Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization from labor to managementbull;Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a diverse team environmentbull;Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPointPreferred Qualifications:bull;8+ years of manufacturing experience in automotive or other transportation operationsbull;Experience in product development, process development and/or qualitybull;Superior root cause analysis and problem-solving skills (Kaizen methodology)bull;Skilled in data management and analysis using appropriate tools such as Excel or Minitabbull;Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certifiedbull;Understanding of FCA systems used in tracking and reporting quality and production data (PFS/PFCS, FIS, AVI etc.)Our benefits reflects the FCA commitment to helping you reach your personal and professional goals.
