divJob DescriptionbrbRole Summary: /bThe bTax Research Content Oil Gas Analyst/b is responsible for research, configuration, ongoing maintenance and testing to ensure that upstream, midstream, downstream oil and gas sales/use, business occupation, motor fuel and other special indirect tax rates ONESOURCE applications and offerings comply with tax rules and laws in U.S. tax jurisdictions. bMajor Responsibilities / Accountabilities: /bulliResearch, analyze, interpret and document tax laws and regulations to enable accurate tax determination and/or compliance/liliMonitor tax statutes, regulations, legislative activity, court decisions, compliance forms, geographic boundaries and/or publications on a continuous basis to stay informed of changes in laws and regulations/liliImplement new content and content changes within applications; complete work within prescribed content deadlines/liliDesign and execute test scenarios to ensure content accuracy and functionality/liliCorrespond with tax authorities to obtain content requirements/liliResearch and respond to client inquiries in partnership with Customer Support/li/ulbKey Relationships: /bulliCustomer support/li/ulbuTechnical /Professional Skills Competencies:/u/bbEssential Skills: /bulliTwo (2) to four (4) years indirect tax experience in the Oil Gas industry/liliDetail-oriented with an aptitude for analysis and problem solving including ability to interpret, analyze and organize detailed legal material/liliAbility to utilize online research tools (e.g. Checkpoint, Tax Analysts, WestLaw, etc.)/liliAbility to consistently meet rigid and recurring deadlines/liliSuperior written and verbal communication skills, including ability to write white papers on tax and/or technical subjects/liliSuperior organizational skills with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks/liliIntermediate to advance software skills (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, Access)/liliAbility to work and learn independently with minimal supervision/liliWritten and spoken fluency in English/li/ulbDesired Skills: /bulliExperience working for a public accounting firm or corporate tax department/liliExperience with tax calculation and compliance software (e.g. ONESOURCETM)/liliExperience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders/li/ulbEducation/ Certifications: /bulliBachelor's Degree in Tax/Accounting/Finance is required/liliJD, LLM, MBA or CPA/Chartered Tax Adviser preferred/li/ulspanDo you want to be part of a team helping re-invent the way knowledge professionals work?
