More information about NSF International can be found at nsf.org.Description•Assist ARC research scientist as directed.•Support ARC research projects by performing tasks such as regent preparation, media preparation, swab sampling, sample processing and selective and differential plating, DNA extraction, PCR preparation, gel electrophoresis and qPCR.•Record data, perform required quality control and assist in generation of final project reports.•Dispose of waste according to standard procedures.•Clean and maintain laboratory and laboratory equipment.•Assist in maintaining inventory of molecular lab.•Support Technical Manager and Business Development Manager as directed.•Assure adherence to the safety and health policies and procedures.•Perform all duties and documentation in accordance with corporate and laboratory quality control procedures.•Work with the Communications and Marketing teams to develop social media sites specific to ARC (Facebook, LinkedIn, Research Gate, Twitter, etc.).Perform other duties as requested.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:•Must be a high school graduate and actively pursuing a higher level of education.•Completion of college course in microbiology and/or molecular biology with lab.•Strong written and oral communication skills.•Demonstrated laboratory skills.•Strong computer skills with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).Preferred Qualifications:•Third or fourth year undergraduate student.•Completion of microbiology, cell/molecular biology, or biotechnology college courses with lab.•Familiarity with aseptic technique•Familiarity with instrumentation for microbiology and molecular biology and virology assays.•Ability to collect and summarize data.•Demonstrated organizational skills.Remote: NoJob: Testing and AnalyticsPrimary Location: US-MI-Ann ArborSchedule: Full-timeNSF International is an equal opportunity employer.
