Job Summary

UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN MARY A. RACKHAM INSTITUTE is recruiting a life span clinical neuropsychologist with particular interest in sports neuropsychology. The applicant must have a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) at the time the program was completed and with a specialization in neuropsychology. He or she must have successfully completed a clinical psychology internship training program that was accredited by APA or CPA at the time the program was completed and an accredited postdoctoral training program in clinical neuropsychology or sports neuropsychology. The individual must be eligible for full licensure as a psychologist in the State of Michigan. Eligibility for certification by the American Board of Professional Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology, is preferred. Application for a clinical track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level or above within the University of Michigan (U-M) Rackham Graduate School is expected.

The position also will include program development and management of a specialized clinic in Learning Disorders that incorporates both assessment and treatment. Familiarity in neuropsychological evaluations of children and young adults with learning disorders, as well as adults with aphasia is also expected.

This position also includes teaching and supervision responsibilities in the American Psychological Association-approved MARI internship and postdoctoral training programs. Individuals with strengths in the areas of sports neuropsychology, learning disorders in children and young adults, and program development experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities*

Program development and management of specialized clinic in learning disorders that incorporates both assessment and treatment Neuropsychological evaluations of adults, young adults, and children with learning disorders, attention deficit disorder, traumatic brain injury. Neuropsychological evaluations as well as adults and children with aphasia. Teaching and supervision responsibilities in the APA-approved internship and the postdoctoral training programs at the Institute’s other centers, the University Center for the Child and the Family and Psychological Clinic.
